If you aren’t already overloaded on music for this evening, Casey’s Garrett Briggs will be performing at Jackson Avenue Coffee tonight from 7-9 p.m.
Briggs is a young guitar fireball who’ll be playing a show at the JAC for the first time, if I’m right. Either way, here’s a video of Biggs’ band doing a cover:
As always, music at the JAC is free, and all ages, although it’s always a good thing to tip your musician. And buy a tasty beverage while you’re enjoying the tunes.
Here’s his bio from his Band web site:
Garrett Biggs is a 16 year old Country Singer/Songwriter out of the little town of Casey, IL. He started learning music at the very early age of 5 years old and has stuck with it ever since.
He was taught by his father, Roger Biggs. Garrett’s sound is unique, and seems to always grab his listeners by the ear. He performs everything from upbeat cover tunes to softer tunes, as well as his original music which has been featured on WTHI News 10’s “In The Spotlight” segment. He was also chosen by 104.3 THE PARTY radio as 1 of 5 winners to receive a front of the line pass to audition for “America’s Got Talent.”
Garrett has performed over 150+ shows over the last 3 years, and has made many memories along the way! Garrett has also opened for national recording artists such as Aaron Tippin, Josh Thompson, and “The Voice” winner Craig Wayne Boyd, as well up and coming Country artist Greg Schneider. In the summer of 2015, his band, “Garrett Biggs & The Highway 40 Band” will be hitting the road and performing at many fairs and festivals in the Illinois, Western Indiana, and Central/Eastern Missouri regions.
He will also be releasing his very first original record this summer as well. Hold on everybody, because this summer is going to be a crazy ride!
