Saturday night happenings: The Vault’s Monster’s Ball and Garrett Biggs

Want to get in the Halloween spirit? It’s covered. Want to hear some country from a talented teen? It’s covered. I’m putting both happenings tonight in this one post, so scroll to the bottom to see all your entertainment possibilities.

Monster’s Ball, The Vault Art Collective, Tuscola

If that cool-ass poster above doesn’t pique your curiosity about this event, maybe this description from the Facebook page will:

The 3rd Annual Monster’s Ball will have snacks & refreshments, spooky tunes & lots of candy! Plus, they are bringing back their kids and adults Costume Contests and adding a kids coloring contest with some fun prizes. Also, see a special “Faces of Death” art exhibit featuring Halloween-inspired art from local talent and curated by Zac Atkinson of Evil By Design. Costumes encouraged but not required. As always, this is a free and family friendly event.

Costume Contest Registration: 6-7:30 p.m.
Judging: 8 p.m.

Garrett Biggs, Jackson Avenue Coffee, Charleston

Casey country picker Garrett Biggs returns to the JAC tonight after hotting it up a month ago. I caught his show last time around, and he’s got the talent to go places. Check him out so you can say “I saw him when …” As always, the show is free and open to all ages. Enjoy some java or a cold beverage and be sure to donate to the musician.

From his last appearance, here’s Biggs singing “Average Joe.”
