From the band’s Facebook page:
Michael Cochren is a twenty-three year old singer/songwriter and worship leader from southern Indiana. His music tells stories of hope, grace, and second chances. A large variety of artists such as Needtobreathe, Billy Joel, and Matt Redman have impacted his organic American sound.
In the summer of 2011, Michael began writing and touring with his group, the Michael Cochren Band. With the release of their first studio album, the group began to perform across the Midwest; further developing their piano-driven, backwoods rock sound. In 2015, the group opted to change their name to Cochren & Company.
Since forming only four years ago, Cochren & Company (formerly the Michael Cochren Band) has released 2 EPs and has opened for artists such as Newsboys, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Tenth Avenue North, Sidewalk Prophets, City Harmonic, Chris August and more.
Current group members are: Michael Cochren, Leah Cochren, Tanner Brooks, Kyler Lee, and Michael Mathis.
“We are continually amazed at the opportunities God is giving us in music, ” says Michael, “and how he is working in us as we share His good news”. “We are just a group of people who know we need saving – and we know that Christ, in His grace, has saved us – and we know He has the power to save this hurting world. People need to hear that there is hope. That’s the motivation behind what we do.”
Here’s a music video for the song “Man From Nazareth,” from their album A Collection of Sound Recordings about Grace, Hope, and Love.
