Saturday Is A Busy Day: Block Party, Live Music in Charleston

While students are getting their degrees from EIU, Saturday is also a busy day on the entertainment calendar. Make note of these events and choose your events for fun.

18 Street Block Party, Charleston

The 18th Street Block Party is a kickoff to Farmer’s Market season, and the organizers have put together some extra events for kids and music fans alike. On the music front, Joe McLean will perform at 11 a.m., followed by an Open Mic opportunity from 1 to 4 p.m. at Home Again Consignment Shop. The Block Party is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the whole family.

Aaron Kamm and The One Drops, Macs’ Uptowner

This Blues/Reggae/Jam trio from St. Louis will be performing at 9:30 p.m. Entry is $5. You must be 21 or older to enter.
